  Booking a place on IT workshops

  Bookings for IT workshops are now handled by a dedicated booking system. This system will let you book a place on a course, see details of courses you are booked on, receive reminders shortly before workshops commence, view your attendances, complete course evaluations, and cancel bookings.

  EndNote is an application that stores and manages bibliographic information, an excellent tool for managing references for assignments, research projects. References can be imported directly into EndNote from many online databases, saving you the time of typing them manually. Once inputted into EndNote your references can be sorted and grouped. EndNote also has the capacity for you to store and annotate full text journal articles.   The School has exacting requirements about the formatting of MSc summer projects. In this workshop we will explain these guidelines and show you how to format your project accordingly. Skills include basic Word formatting including; margin setting, the presentation of tables and figures, tables of contents, lists of tables/figures, fonts, spacing, formatting images, and intellectual property considerations. Participants will produce their own document which can be used as a template for summer projects.
