Folder Spotlight on selected employers

First-hand information about a range of employers, gathered by the careers student ambassadors who personally interviewed representatives of those organisations. The interviews cover typical days in the job, advice on getting into the sector, working for that employer, and details of the kinds of roles it has.  The most recent additions have the year 2022 at the end of the title of the file.

Career insights from alumni, employers and students Page Panel discussion events

Each panel discussion event offers insight into several people's current work and their career path to date.  Topics include:

Folder Assessment centres and psychometric tests

Resources about what to expect from an assessment centre and how to prepare.

You can also practise online aptitude tests using Graduates First. You need to register with your LSHTM email address to access the subscription content.  If you recently graduated and your LSHTM email address no longer works please contact careers@lshtm.ac.uk to request access.  Practice tests include verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, critical thinking, and situational judgement.

LinkedIn is an extremely useful tool for researching possible roles and organisations and making contact with people in them and this folder contains screencast recordings with tips for making best use of it.

A list of vacancy websites for public health, global health, pharmaceutical, global health and related sectors. This list is not exhaustive so make sure you search beyond it when searching for jobs. People usually have more success if they speak to other professionals in their sector, network using LinkedIn, and are proactive.
